Nothing extra is bought to do this. Parcels ride the same fleet and the same captains as the passenger trips, dispatched by the same system — no second fleet, no second operations team.
It works because the demand does not collide. Passenger demand peaks twice a day; parcel demand does not sit in the same hours, so the fleet works through both and the fixed cost does not move.
The job closes when the person at the other end takes it. Left near a door is not delivered.
